We’ve got some huge news on the Fiendish Fiction front!

Let’s kick it off with our biggest announcement: Fiendish Fiction is partnering with Viridian Software to bring Up All Night to consoles! This port will include all Up All Night - Remastered features, and will be packaged with Up All Night: Rumination so you can enjoy the game on the go via Switch, or on the big screen through Xbox and PlayStation. We anticipate a June/July console launch.

Additionally, while Fiendish Fiction is proud of what we accomplished during the initial development of Up All Night for the 2020 Spooktober Visual Novel Jam, the free Legacy version is no longer representative of the quality and standards we now have for our completed projects. With this in mind, the Legacy version of Up All Night will no longer be available for download after March 01, 2022. This was a difficult decision, but in order to progress as a successful independent studio, changes must be made to support our future ventures.

Right now, every penny accrued by Fiendish Fiction goes right back into development, helping to support our games and build our future as gamedev professionals.

On that note, we have been working hard on our next big project:

Birds of Paradise is a comedic dating sim following tired and overworked young professional Robin as she navigates life, love, and her career. Robin takes on a new position as assistant manager of the Birds of Paradise; a boy band full of vain, obnoxious, needy young men. But when the actual manager leaves her high and dry, it’s up to Robin to help the boys find success… while also fending off their rival band, a femme fatale punk-rock group known as the Birds of Prey.

Birds of Paradise will include a huge amount of content including over 100k words, five romantic interests, a platonic friendship route, and LGBT options. Keep your eyes peeled for our upcoming crowdfunding campaign, which we anticipate running in Q2, 2022!
