Something lurks in the Umbral Forest, its wicked tendrils snaking out to reshape the very woods themselves. Is this the beast Israh Almasi seeks to hunt and slay for the sake of his dying son? Or something even darker and more sinister than he ever could have imagined?
Meanwhile, a mysterious man has made himself at home at Israh’s campsite. He calls himself Nameless… and he only comes at night.
Follow the red star to the Umbral Forest and unravel the mysteries within.
Nameless: The Departed Cycle is a dark fantasy/horror visual novel featuring a prominent male/male romance. Make choices to determine Israh's fate, and strive to survive -- perhaps even slay -- the monster stalking the Umbral Forest.
This game incorporates mature themes including physical violence, emotional manipulation, suggestive sexual content, and visual and written depictions of gore. Suggested for players 16 and up.

Really the best praise I can give this game is that, when I wanted to make a visual novel look really good, this is the game I trotted out to tell my design team "Make it look as good as this."

Nameless - The Departed Cycle has a set male protagonist. So no, you don't get to choose your gender, but you get to play through as a guy. Hope this helps!
